Hongkong Jet Adds Four Additional Aircraft to its Managed Fleet as Confidence & Accessibility in Hong Kong’s Business Aviation Market Improves – HKIA is “Open for Business”

Hongkong Jet, Hongkong’s leading private jet management and charter Group of Companies, has added four additional aircraft to its managed fleet in Q2 of 2018. The managed fleet now includes the first Cessna CJ4, Bombardier Global Express, and an additional Boeing BBJ and G-650ER models, which are all based within Greater China which includes Hong Kong.

Hongkong Jet’s CEO, Denzil White said, “The addition of these four aircraft to our managed fleet evidences Hongkong Jet’s strong reputation in the highly competitive management space in Greater China. We have seen an ever-increasing number of new start-up aircraft management companies in the past 2 years, despite the huge operational and regulatory challenges our sector has faced in the same period. It is therefore imperative to retain and grow our own experienced team of aviation professionals to ensure we continue to be able to service multiple manufacturer types for our client base, including: Boeing Business Jets, Airbus Corporate Jets, Gulfstream, Bombardier, Dassault and Cessna. Hongkong Jet is also working to improve the overall landscape for business jet users in Asia and is a proud member and supporter of AsBAA – the Asian Business Aviation Association. The non-profit and its members have been working diligently with the Hong Kong Government Housing & Transport Bureau, the Hong Kong Aviation Authority (HKAA) and the Hong Kong Civil Aviation Department (HKCAD) to have the CJ4 type exempted for night slot take off usage at Hong Kong International Airport (HKIA). The jet is the first Super Light Jet to be operated regularly out of HKIA since the slot restrictions first came into effect in May 2016.

Hongkong Jet is also gearing up to roll out its first A330 VIP aircraft, which is currently in the final stages of refurbishment in Basel, Switzerland. White added, “We are committed to having a diverse fleet that meets the needs of our equally diverse customer base. The addition of the VIP A330 is an exciting one, our first hand experience in managing the first Dream Jet B787 VIP aircraft in the world and many ACJ/BBJ’s types builds the confidence and trust our clients have come to expect from us. With the A330 crew now successfully recruited and commencing their specialist training, we look forward to sharing more news on the entry into service soon”.
